Nyingchi is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of the Tibet Autonomous Region. It was formerly known as Gongbu. Located in the southeast of Tibet, it is known as the “Jiangnan of Tibet”. It has the world’s deepest canyon – the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon and the third deepest canyon in the world – the Parong Zangbo Grand Canyon. Nyingchi boasts beautiful scenery. Many areas are known as the “Jiangnan of Tibet”. There is the Nyingchi Peach Blossom Festival, the colorful Nan Yi Valley and so on. There are also Motuo County and Chayu County, which are called the “Xishuangbanna of Tibet”.
